The rate for childhood obesity has trippled since the 1960’s. Obesity in children is causing a range of health concerns that have never before been seen in children. Children are getting Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and High Cholesterol. These chronic health conditions can often be improved or cured with weight loss, this includes diet and exercise. The psychological effects of childhood obesity include: depression, low self-esteam, and poor body image.
