Course Description
The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. Students are taught emergencies such as bleeding control, burns, seizures, fractures and sprains, hypoglycemia, allergic reactions, and shock.

Intended Audience
Persons assigned to respond to emergencies in the workplace, community, as well as those who want to learn First Aid skills. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of their employer’s efforts to comply with OSHA regulations, e.g., corporate employees, security guards, airline personnel, lifeguards and other individuals who want or need First Aid training.

  • Complete Heartsaver First Aid online training module and print certificate

  • Schedule a skills test with 2 Nurses and a Dummy

  • Bring certificate and payment of $25 on day of skills testing

  • At the conclusion of the skills test, you will  receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First  Aid certification card
